The Camptronics security bundle comprises the Nexus as the central unit, two door/window sensors, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for monitoring tyre pressure, a person detection sensor and automated actions.
Everything is controlled via the Camptronics app on your smartphone. The bundle is suitable for motorhomes, caravans, DIY projects and even boats.
It includes everything needed to connect the Nexus to a 12V or 24V power supply and is compatible with selected existing systems.
Yes. You’ll receive an instant alert on your smartphone whenever the security system detects a person, a shock or an open door in your motorhome. You’ll also receive the alert if you’re not in the motorhome.
Yes. The system includes GPS tracking, which is why you can always see your motorhome’s current location in the app. It also shows journeys made over several days. In the event of theft, you can pass these locations on to the police. If the motorhome’s battery is disconnected, the Nexus remains active for a long time thanks to our backup battery. This is part of ‘theft mode’.
You’ll automatically receive a notification as soon as your motorhome’s battery voltage drops below a set threshold, well before the battery is completely flat.
In certain cases, you can even switch off appliances remotely or automatically, putting your motorhome into eco-mode.
The Nexus has been specifically designed to consume as little power as possible, which is why we can go for weeks without needing to top up the battery via our backup battery.
That depends on your insurer. Some insurers offer a discount on the premium for motorhomes fitted with an approved alarm or tracking system. Check this with your insurance broker.
Yes. The system uses its own mobile connection and does not require Wi-Fi. As long as there is coverage, you will receive notifications and be able to see the location of your motorhome, even if it is parked in a remote car park or in a shed.
Yes. You can invite multiple users in the app, so that your partner or children receive the same notifications.
Communication between your motorhome, the servers and the app is fully encrypted. Your data is not shared with third parties. The system is designed so that a malfunction or cyber-attack will never affect the road safety of your vehicle.
No system can make a motorhome completely burglar-proof. What Camptronics does, however, is ensure that you know immediately if anything happens, and that you know where your motorhome is. That’s the difference between recovering a stolen motorhome and losing it for good.
